Autumn at the CCCB: don’t miss it!
September 13th, 2010 CCCB No CommentsThis autumn we’ll be getting up to all sorts of things at the CCCB: getting lost “Through Labyrinths”, remembering the writer Albert Camus and wondering what the future of books and publishing holds. We’ll be doing breakdance and seeing off Cerdà Year by burying a time capsule to tell citizens of the future how we think Barcelona will change.
Here are a few of the activities you can join in at the CCCB, starting this September:
- Venture into the paths of the planted maze in the exhibition “Through Labyrinths” and find out how labyrinthine forms have been present in our lives for centuries as archaeological objects, literary tales or films.
- Commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of the writer Albert Camus in a debate, in the company of other writers who are familiar with his life and works.
- Get to grips with hip hop culture at the Hipnotik Festival, with breaking competitions, graffiti exhibitions and concerts.
- Discover what Lawrence Lessig, the founder of Creative Commons, thinks about copyright.
- Find out what a BookCamp is like by joining the one organized by Kosmopolis.
- Learn how an exhibition is put together by taking part in the next “I+C+i” session, where curators and contributors will be analysing the process of creation of the “Global Screen” exhibition.
- Get a second chance to see the best animation features screened at the latest Animac Festival in Lleida.
- Discover new works and authors of experimental film made in Latin America.
These are just some of our proposals for the coming months. There are lots more for you to follow day by day on the CCCB’s website, Facebook and twitter.
